 BLINK 182 NEWS Blink 182 is currently in a recording studio, oh i mean, recording house! Theyve rented a house somewhere in san diego, and our recording new album dew summer. The album has no completed tracks, but vocals are currently being mastered on a new track. They have 10+ songs written, and are writing lyrics for all of them. This month travis will be recoding drums, followed by mark and tom doing bass and guitar. The final colour is the vocals, which will be recorded last. Rumours of an album name are around, here are a few: SHAVELLE CAN YOU GUYS SEE THIS? PUNK POETS WORDS THAT RYME WITH VENUS There next album (acording to mark) may be couloured with a little bit of digital music. Travis did (or is currently on) a short Transplants tour. Once, when Mark was a small boy, he was left at home alone. And he was watching TV, and saw there news about maniac, who had killed many ppl with his motorbike. Suddenly he heard a sound of engine somewhere in the street, he began to scream, but nothing happened, 'cause this was only a man who was riding his motorbike past his house. Mark's school in San Diego has the best wrestle team. Mark lives in the dead end of his street. Mark adores Homer Simpson. On the 22nd of July, 2001 Mark's weight was 225 pounds . Mark thinks that Disney's cartoons are really cool. So when he has free time, he likes to watch them. Mark's wedding lasted only 15 minutes! He was wearing sneakers at his wedding! Mark wrote "Going away to college" on St. Valentines day after watching Can't Hardly Wait. Mark says that nothing confuses him. Mark has no tatoos on his body. In the video on the song "Josie" ppl are throwing real food at Mark. When Mark's got a free time, he speaks to his girlfriend by his mobile phone. He spends a great sum of money on that every month. Mark's got two cars: Mercedes E320 and white Ford Expedition. Mark appeared on-stage nude, at MTV's Castaway Countdown, during the band's performance of What's My Age Again? Mark hates beer. At a show in Boston, Mark took an inflatable sheep, shoved a drum stick up it's ass, and then threw it into the crowd . Mark has his nipple pierced. Mark's father's name is Tex, his mother's name is Carrie, and his sister's name is Ann. Mark's dog's name is Ahi. Mark attended Burroughs High School, Ridgecrest, California Mark needed four minutes to write the song "Don't Leave Me". Mark's main rule in life is: "If you did smth wrong, then, please, rectify everything". Mark hates touring in Europe. Mark got his first bass guitar from his dad: he helped him to paint their house. Mark drank a lot many years ago, now he doesn't, and thinks that it's terrible. At every show, Mark writes a different message on his speaker with duct tape (from "Hi Mom" to "I have no idea where I am"). Once he wrote a message to Sky after they had been fighting over who loved the other more, and he wrote "I love you more". About Tom After school, Tom worked at a place called Gary's Chicken and Ribbs in his home town (Poway). Tom's got a sister Kari and a brother, who's name is Shon . Tom's neighbours called the police very often (because of his loud rehearsals). Tom got his first guitar from his friends Nate and Mike. Their father was a trashman, so they found it there, and gave it to him. If you look closer, in the video on "Adam's song" you can see Tom standing outside the restaurant "Sombrero". Tom says that he won't ever wear a T-shirt . Tom's got eight tatoos on his body. Jennifer (Tom's girlfriend) got really mad when she heard the lines in "Dumpweed" : "I need a girl that I can train…". Tom's favorite CD of all time is Less Talk, More Rock by Propaghandi. Tom got expelled from his school twice. Tom works very hard, especially during their tours. Tom was voted homecoming king by his friends to piss of administrators because they all hated him. Tom doesn't smoke. Tom's got a black Ford Expedition. Tom's mother's name is Connie. Tom has a really big obsession with aliens, and he actually says that they are here among us, and that he bought a computer just to look for U.F.O’s . Tom apperared in the movie "Idle Hands" as a fast-food employee, he wears a sombrero, but he only has one line. There're several mistakes on the cover of their live album. For example, Tom paints his nails on his left hand, but not on the right hand. About Travis In school Travis was a member of jazz band. Travis grew up in Fontana, California, which is located in San Bernadino county. Travis teaches kids to play drums. Travis's got the same drum machine now, he had 15 years ago. Travis wanted to become a professional skater, but he had to give up this idea, because of his injures. Travis loves leopard prints he has a cowboy hat to prove it. Travis tried taking up Tatoo drawing because he got board in high school. Travis runs his own online shop called "Famous Stars and Straps" (www.famoussas.com). Travis is a huge collector of muscle cars and old bicycles. Travis can draw tatoos himself. The first Travis' tatoo was drawn by Brian Sanchez. Travis has 40 - 50 tattoos on his body, including a giant boom box on his stomach. Their total cost is more than 7000$. About Blink-182 The first photos for the band's T-shirts were taken in Mark's garage. There were only Mark and Tom on these photos. "Viking Wizard Eyes, Wizard Full of Lies" was a consideration for the name of the album, instead of "Enema of the State" There's an emblem from the italian film "Farinelli" in the video on "Dammit". I hope you know what's this film about! :) In the scene of the video "All the Small Things" where Mark is doing his Ricky Martin imitation and getting wax poured on his chest, if you look in the background you'll see a couple making out. It's Tom and his girlfriend, Jen. Figure 182 doesn't stand for anything. It means nothing... Mark's sister Ann says that Mark and Tom will be kids forever. They won't ever change. Mark met Tom the next day he moved to San Diego. Part of the video on "Man Overboard" was filmed on Sanata Beach, and in the local club - Belly Up Tavern. Other names considered for Enema of the State were: Turn your head and cough, Viking Wizard Eyes and blink 182: Electric Boogaloo. On the inside of the back cover of Enema of the State, if you look very carefully on the left side of the giant eye, you will see the words "Viking Wizard Eyes, Wizard Full of Lies" in white print. This is the original title that Blink 182 had for Enema of the State. In the credits from 'American Pie' it says 'Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge and Scott Raynor'. Its actually Travis Barker in the movie, not Scott. They usually call themselves "Sexual Monkey" as a joke. In the "Party Song" you can hear guys singing "Vagina Vagina Vagina" in chorus.
