Biography:
Box Car racer formed early 2002. It consisted of blink-182 lead guitarrist and singer Tom Delonge, blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, David Kennedy from over my dead body, and Anthony form Over My Dead Body. The band was a tribute band the the punk bands that made Tom decide to join a band in the first place. Box Car Racer completed there first cd summer 2002, self titled 'Box Car Racer'. The cd contained 13 amazing tracks, produced by Jerry Finn, and mixed by Rich Costelo. All the bands songs were written by Tom Delonge, including music and lyrics. And all arrangements were done by Travis. Music wise the other two members did nothing on the album, they were just for the tour. Tom Delonge also did bass on the record. Box Car Racers rour was a short tour, and Tom and Travis being used to 15-2000 poeple venues did'nt feel was nessesary for this band, so they decided to stcik to venues of 2000 people or less, and keeping tickets as low as .00 . After the tour Tom And Travis ventured back to blink-182 where there now reocrding there 6th studio album. Box Car Racer also promises that after blink-182's next cd and tour, they will record there second Lp, hopefully due by summer 2004.
